Sunshine

Here are a few shots from yesterday afternoon. Although it was quite chilly outside, we had to take advantage of this beautiful sunshine we've been having. I think we'll have to head to the park here soon if it continues to be so nice.

She was NOT thrilled about being in the swing. She must think it's only a summertime thing! =)

Jump - Jump!

Thought we'd try and post a video of Hannah "dancing". I think we'll keep working on it so she'll be ready for our summer of weddings. =)

Hope this works for you.

iWonderful

I don't really have anything exciting to share but wanted to post a few pictures. I've found a new tool in battling a busy 2 year old...the video iPod. Oh, how I love my iPod! At first I wasn't so sure about it, I mean after all, what do you need videos on your iPod for? Wellllll, let me tell you! Our busy little Hannah sat still yesterday at her cousin Brittany's volleyball game. Well, for the last half of the game at least. If I had been thinking I would have brought it out a bit sooner, but all I had was a single Grey's Anatomy episode and I wasn't so sure she'd watch it. But there she sat quietly watching my Grey's episode. Yes, my little 2 year old sat still watching McDreamy. It was quite the sight.

So today I had a brief moment of brilliance. If I put a few "Hannah" shows on the iPod, she might just sit still long enough for me to do a little shopping at my favorite scrapbooking store - shopping at Lasting Memories with a 2 year old is NOT fun. So, that's exactly what I did, I loaded up a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and a Little Einstein episode and off we went. I couldn't believe it I actually got to wander around aisle after aisle with a quiet and content Hannah. It was WONDERFUL. Ahhh, I love technology!

Artic Storm 2007

So this is it. This is what the Artic Storm 2007 produced. Everett and areas to the North were to be hit the hardest. WRONG. Judy and Kevin (Tom's mom and step-dad) got 10 inches of snow and where do they live...South of Everett in Issaquah. I tried to get Hannah to go out and play in what little snow we had but she just kept telling me "too cold mama, tooooo cold". She knows what she's talking about, temperatures didn't rise above 30 degrees all day. She's one smart cookie. Tom ventured out in the cold to go to work and his report back to me was that "the roads were lousy". He's home safe now and we're happy about that. I thought we'd end this post with a picture of Hannah "hanging" with her Daddy. Love to all.

This is REALLY, really it...the beginning of our Blog.

I'm really starting this blog thing now. I'll consider it my New Year's Resolution. I can't take anymore of Jen's "blog?" comments or Caryl's "she hasn't sent me any pictures lately". =) So...I'll use this site primarily as a picture posting site for all of you who don't get to see Ms. Hannah or her parents very often. If you're lucky I'll even post some of our wonderful "Hannah" stories. I hope you'll check back reguarly and I hope I remember to post. So, Jen and Caryl...I love you both and here you go!

Monday ~ January 8, 2007

Hannah and I took a tumble down the stairs yesterday afternoon. Not to worry, we're OK. Hannah received most of the "outer" wounds and I on the other hand took the "inner" wounds. Poor Hannahs face got scratched up thanks to the wall that she ran into and the carpeting on the stairs that we slid down. My rear-end,back and shoulders are feeling the pain of the "thump, thump, thump" that we made. A sleeping Tom came to our rescue wondering "what in the heck had just happened here". After a good laugh Hannah and I took some Tylenol and are feeling much better. Hannahs face on the other hand looks worse today than it did yesterday. Our poor pumpkin! All this on top of a busy week being sick with the flu and an ear infection. What a trooper!
As a side note...we're VERY careful when we go up or down the stairs. We don't want to do that again! =)
