The Fair

At the beginning of the month we went with my parents & aunt Susie to the Evergreen State Fair. We didn't take Hannah on any rides because those things kind of freak me out and not to mention the people that are usually running the rides are usually a bit on the scary side too (can we say over-protective?). So, for one more year we managed to escape the fair without any tears over rides. Thank goodness. The big highlight of the fair was by far the animals. Hannah loved that she could actually pet the animals unlike the zoo where they are off limits. =) If you ask Hannah what happened at the fair, this is what you'll get from her - "I picked (insert finger up nose) pigs nose and he pooped. When translated goes something like this...we were in the pig barn and we were looking at some pretty cute piggies...Hannah reached her hand out for the pig to smell her hand (like we tell her to do with a dog before she pets it) and as she reached her hand forward, the pig leaned in for a sniff and Hannah's finger went right up the pigs snout. Hannah jumped back and the pig jumped back, let out a little noise and then pooped. Susan and I laughed and laughed! Oh, it was such a funny sight. The two of them and their reactions were priceless. Not to worry, Jamie and her fear of germs promptly reached for Nonnie's bottle of Purell and poured almost the entire bottle out in her hands. Talk about gross! Funny but gross! Hannah is already looking forward to going back to the fair next summer. Let's hope she can keep her fingers out of the pig's nose. =)

And one major wardrobe malfunction

Grammy Na

Once a bad blogger, always a bad blogger. I tried so hard, but summer got the best of me. We had a busy month of August or at least it seemed that way. I've been helping out at Tom's office 3 days a week and on my other two days it seemed like I always had something else going on, and forget the weekends - they were always jam-packed. So, I've got a few groups of pictures to share but I won't overwhelm you in one sitting. The first group, I did as a slideshow because I had so many pictures to share. Grammy Na (my mom's mom) celebrated her 90th birthday back on August 6. We had a party for her at my moms house and had a lot of fun celebrating such a wonderful lady. I'm thinking that I'll have to do two slide shows just to get every one in. =) On a different note - our little Hannah turns the big 3 tomorrow. We just can't belive how fast time has gone. She's grown into such a funny little girl. =)
