Soccer

Here are a few pictures from Hannah’s game last weekend.  She did really good and even scored 2 goals once she decided to join the game.  :)  She wasn’t quite in to it in the beginning, but I think that is because of the heat.  It was a warm day which produced a TON of bees, probably from all the giant otter pops that were being sold.  I actually moved to the other side of the field, away from the garbage can to escape the bees.  They were bad. I digress. 

The girls named themselves…are you ready…the Rocket Rockets.  The league she is in is called the Lake Stevens Rockets, so they decided that the Rocket Rockets was a fantastic name.  :)  Getting some help from Papa Larry. Doin’ the bee dance. Someone has learned the art of posing for pictures from her big sister. Ready? She shoots… She scores!!! She sticks her tongue out at her mama…

Here is a video shot using my phone.  It’s horrible quality but it’s all I had.  Hang tight until the end…that’s when you’ll see her goal.  I should mention that I forgot I was recording in the beginning which will explain the yelling, the ground shots and the moving all around, but you get the idea.  :)

Fun Run

Last Friday Hannah’s school had their annual Fun Run.  We lucked out on the weather in that it didn’t actually rain while any of the classes were running.  Hannah being true to herself was not happy about having to wear her school t-shirt.  I mean, it WAS blue after all, but I personally thought she looked extra cute.  :)

The night before the run, Tom and I asked her to set a goal of how many times around the track she would run.  She quickly blurted out 80, to which Tom and I explained that it would be really hard to go around 80 times in just 30 minutes.  :)  She settled on 4.  To our surprise she ran around 7 times!  She probably could have run more if she wasn’t too busy chatting it up along the way.  One of the mom’s who was running with her son, came up to me and said “your daughter cracks me up, she is so social, she’s been stopping to talk with everyone”.  Yes, that’s our Hannah. :)

LaConnor

One day last week I pulled Hannah out of school early so that we could head up to LaConnor and visit with Aunt Karlene before she headed home.  You would have thought I was pulling her teeth with as resistant as Hannah was about leaving school early. By the end of the evening she was glad that she got to play a little hooky and spend time with family.

Aunt Mimi brought out the toys and the girls were SO excited.  They loved having someone other than Mommy to play with.  :) Cole and Katie were there but when Katie left to take Ashlyn to soccer, Cole got to stay and play, thanks to his Grandma.  Cole had fun playing with Grammy Jo.  I love this picture! Such a sweet sweet boy. Emerson LOVED having him there to play with.  Someone her age!  Both the little ones had fun looking for treasures with Aunt Mimi. We all enjoyed Aunt Karlene’s company. :) Thank goodness for Aunt Mimi, the little ones wanted to walk out on the dock.  She braved the cold water and ventured out.  I *heart* Aunt Mimi! Emerson was a little too leery of walking all the way out to the end, but Cole had no fear!  I love their house.  I know I’ve said that before but seriously, look at that view.  I don’t think I would get much accomplished if this were my view!

The big Par-Tay!

Prepare yourself for picture overload.  Serious picture overload.  I started out with the camera and then once the games began I’m not really sure who was taking pictures and who to thank.  So whoever had my camera, thank you!  :)

The Henry’s graciously let us have Hannah’s party at their house again this year, which was a good thing since we decided to combine Grammy Jo, Karl and Brittany’s parties with Hannah’s.  I think we had over 50 people there.  It was wonderful and I owe it all to my sister, who kept things moving for me.  She really should be a party planner!  :)

(Carolyn is Casie and Danielle’s mom) Brittany came straight from her soccer game and I walked in the house to find the two of them laying on the stairs.  Emerson loves Casie! We were a little concerned about the weather, all week the forecast for Sunday was rain and thunderstorms.  Despite the clouds we headed outside for our games and boy did we luck out.  It was perfect. 

We started out with the M&M game.  10 M&M’s of each color, separated into corresponding cups using only one hand…if you mess up all the cups have to be emptied and you have to start over.  My sister was the only one who did it in a minute.  The rest of us averaged a minute fifteen. I’m not sure where the big hammer came from, but it was a hit with the kids. The Oreo game was a crowd favorite.  Move an Oreo from your forehead to your mouth using only your facial muscles.  I love it for the great pictures it produces.  :)

Arrrrgggh matey… No comment… “Visualize the cookie…” We’ve never done Junk in the Trunk before, but seriously oh my word.  SO super funny.  You have a Kleenex box attached to your waist, in the Kleenex box are 8 ping pong balls, the object…shake your bootie so they fall out.  Uncle John was a good sport.  I love Hannah’s face in the background.  Video is what was needed for this one.  Oh, that would have been some good video.  My sisters face makes me laugh EVERY time I look at it.  I can almost hear her laughing.  Good times, good times. Shake it ladies, shake it.  SO funny! Turned out that Madi was the great winner of them all.  The girl really knows her Minute to Win it!  The prize 100 grand, bars. Present time! Grammy Jo got a picture of little Ethan, which made her SO happy. Littlest Pet Shops…oh my goodness, you would have thought she won the lottery.  She loves her LPS.  :) One of the reasons for combining all the birthdays was the fact that Aunt Karlene was here from Ohio.  What better way to get all the siblings together, than their Mama’s birthday.  :) The birthday girls and boy.  Can you believe that Brittany and Karl are 16? Daisy, Uncle Dennis, Heather and Ethan.  Look at that sky behind them.  We seriously lucked out with the weather. A family picture with Aunt Karlene. A week just wasn’t long enough to have her around.  Hannah & Ethan – awww. Emmie wanted to hold him.  She’s showing Heather how she’s all ready for him.  :) “Lay back Ethan…” “there!” “oh no!”  I love that Hannah’s hands are in the picture, she’s ready to take him from her little sister.  :)

It was such a fun day.  I posted on Facebook, that I love my family and today was a prime example of why!  Thanks for making Hannah’s big day such a special one.
