Eggs!
Friday we headed over the mountains for Easter. With Easter being so late this year we were actually able to spend a holiday with Tom’s side of the family. I can’t remember when we were over there last but it’s been a while.
We stopped at the Pohl’s house for the night. I had asked Jen earlier on in the week if she would mind if we dyed eggs when we got there. I knew that our week would be too crazy to try and get it done ahead of time and besides, who wants to travel across the state with hard boiled eggs in the trunk. :)
The girls, especially Hannah, were happy to see Grace this time around. She was in Washington DC when we were there for spring break. The Walker “thinking” tongue found it’s way out.
Love this picture of the two of them together. Thank you Hunter for capturing it for me. :)
Inspecting the mess she made on her hands.
When I mixed the egg dyes I was trying to get the “bright” colors but something went wrong because those are not bright colors. I think I’ll leave the color mixing up to someone else next year. I obviously had a hard time following directions. :)
After all the egg coloring fun we had cake and ice cream to celebrate Jen’s big birthday. It was a great end to a long week.
Happy Birthday my friend! :)
