Puzzles

Well, it was a big day here in the Walker house. Hannah sucessfully did a puzzle all by herself. I was upstairs with Emerson and she came running up as fast as she could to get us. She was so excited I could barely understand what she was saying. We rushed (carefully) down the stairs to see her hard work. She was jumping with excitement. It was really cute. We bought all the age 3, 24 piece, $3.99 puzzles we could find at Target (they just happen to be princess ones) and have been working on them for the last week or so. Here's Hannah and her first "completed all by myself" puzzle.

I can't forget to mention that we got some snow last night. Not at all like what the Spokane area has been getting, but 2 inches for us is exciting.

What 1 month olds do while big sisters are out playing in the snow.

Hannah went out to play before breakfast and came in after about 10 minutes. It's not so much fun out there by yourself. I told her that next year Emerson would be able to go out there with her. We hoped the snow would stick around for Daddy to play in but it melted pretty quick. We're keeping our fingers crossed for a little more tonight so they can play, but it's not looking so good for us. I'll leave you with a picture of Ms. Emerson and one of her first real smiles. Hope you're all having a wonderful week. x's and o's from us

One Month

We thought it would be fun to post pictures of Emerson and Hannah when they are both about the same age. We think they look a lot alike but we can already tell that they have very different personalities. One thing in common is they both have that wonderful Walker temper!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We can't believe that this little angel has been with us for a whole month already. We had a little happy 1 month party last night for her. Hannah and I even made cupcakes, which we each enjoyed one for Emerson, so she wouldn't feel left out. I made the big mistake of calling it Emersons birthday party. I think I broke Hannahs heart when I explained to her that there wasn't actually going to be a "party" like she's come to know. She came downstairs yesterday with her jammies so "she could change before we came home, if it got too late". She was very confused and very upset when I tried to explain it. Thank goodness we had the cupcakes for an easy distraction. Emmie goes tomorrow for her one month check-up. We're anxious to hear how much she's grown since her last visit. I can't remember from Hannah's one month visit but I'm hoping that there aren't any shots involved tomorrow since I'll be going solo with the girls. Tom's already really busy at work and we're not even out of January. I have a feeling this tax season is going to be the longest ever! I just have to keep reminding myself that it's because of those terrible tax seasons that I'm able to stay home, which I wouldn't trade for the world. I'll leave you with a few more pictures. The picture of Emerson and the doll...that's Hannah's baby Emma (her "I'm so excited you're my big sister" present from Emerson). Hannah thought it would be fun for our babies to have their picture taken together. It makes me laugh and creeps me out at the same time. =)

Hannah's new favorite thing...her dad's headlamp. They came in handy the other night when our power went out. My mom and dad each got Tom one for Christmas so Hannah got to use one and Tom got to use one. I think I'll need to go out and buy one for myself. =)

Hannah, her headlamp and her pouty model face...

Ok, that's all from us for tonight. We hope you're all having a wonderful week. Hugs and kisses to you all! ~ T,J,H&E or JETH as Tom calls us. Yes, he thinks he's pretty funny. He also thinks we need to have two more so we can be JETHRO. Again, he thinks he's pretty funny. =)

We're back...

I'm here and most importantly we're all alive and doing well. Emerson is doing good. She's a really good baby, not very demanding (yet) which goes well with a demanding 3 year old. She only seems to cry when we change her diaper or her clothes. She's slowly gaining weight. At her appointment on Friday she was up to 6 lbs 14 oz. She's also quite the little sleeper, letting me sleep 4-5 hours at night, once she falls asleep. She definitely has Bielser blood in her - she's wide awake from 10pm - 2am. Hannah is adjusting. Some days are better than others. Like yesterday she had a meltdown because we were going to use HER stroller for the baby. How dare we! We'll have to ease her into letting Emerson use the stroller. Here are a few pictures of our Emerson and her big sister. =) We hope all are well and we'll be back...sometime...hopefully soon, with more pictures. Uncle Rob has also taken a few pictures and he has them posted on his blog, check them out here. Take care!
