June?

Wow, only 7 posts for the month of June. Sad, sad, sad. I'm not really sure where the time went but it really went FAST! I don't have anything fun or exciting to share, no funny Emerson or Hannah stories, just a few pictures to sum up what we've been doing the middle half of June. Terribly sad, I know. =)
Apparently, Emerson was too tired to eat her lunch. She didn't even wake up when I took her out of the chair and up to bed. She was one TIRED little monkey.

This is what happens when you let daddy put chocolate on your ice cream. He shakes the bottle not realizing that the lid was open. =) It's even in between her toes...

My friend/co-worker/boss (hee hee), Melenie, brought her dog Maple with her over to my sister's house. Emerson was a little intimidated at first but she quickly warmed up to Maple. Enough so, to pick Maple's nose for her. Oh how we love Maple Bear.

After our trip to the zoo, Hannah went to spend the night with Jakob at Grandma Judy's house. Grandma Judy bought Hannah a new dress...Hannah and Jakob had to model the dress. Look how cute they are together!

I call this picture "Mama heart failure". Grandpa Kevin was doing a little pressure washing for their condo and rented a lift to get the upper decks. Hannah and Jakob got to ride up on the lift. When I saw this, my hands immediately starting sweating and my heart started racing. There are no sides to that thing!!!! When I asked Hannah if she had some sort of harness on she said "no, we just hung on to Grandpa's pockets"...aaaaaggghhhhhh!!!!!!!

We went for a sunset walk and Tom pulled out the double-wide. The girls loved strolling together and Tom and I enjoyed walking at a grown up pace.
After I cut Tom's head off in the first picture (with my cell phone), I had to take another. As you can see, no one was really in to having another picture taken, even though I said "one, two, three, cheese!". Except, of course, for our goof ball Hannah.
As soon as our friends saw us, they ran over to the fence for some love. Emerson was super excited and probably would have climbed the fence had Tom let her.
Such a fun thing for the girls to look forward to as we walk. They love the horses!

I just realized that I really need to dump the pictures off my camera. That was a sad showing for the end of June! =) Friday night we're heading to the casino to celebrate Cameron's 21st birthday. I absolutely CANNOT believe that our little Cameron is almost 21! CrAzY!!!

Father's Day

As I sit here and type about Father's day, I'm beginning to wish Mother's day was a bit more like Father's Day. Talk about a relaxed day. The girls and I went on a morning coffee run...to south Everett...for a granita...Tom's favorite, while he was at home cooking his world famous "Tom Walker sandwiches". Hannah requested them and well, I can't make them like him, so he was forced (ha ha) to make them for us girls. Yum-O. We lounged around the house for most of the morning/afternoon played a little non-competitive Wii bowling, napped and then went to Susan's house for dinner and s'mores. It really was my kind of day but more importantly it was Tom's kind of day!
The boys played lawn darts while we girls were working hard on eating all of the chips and Rotel...Someone (Aunt Susie) gave Emerson a full can of soda and then someone (Aunt Susie) denied the whole thing once Emmie spilled it down the front of her.Tom wanted to try something new with his s'mores...peanut butter cups. I didn't care for them but I think everyone else thought it was genius. Apparently, Madison likes her marshmallows burnt to a crisp.Yes, thanks to a certain someone, Emerson went through 3 shirts and two pairs of Brittany's socks (the mom forgot to pack pants in the diaper bag).Awww...look at that...branded wood.Hannah really wanted to write "Happy Farters Day" but I wouldn't let her, but that didn't stop her from saying it all. day. long!Hannah helped me wrap presents. This is when she told her dad that "maybe it's picture frames, I don't know". Would you look at that...picture frames.Emerson really wanted to be a part of the Henry family picture, not the Walker family picture.
I really hope Tom enjoyed his day. I love him so much and I am SO thankful for all of his hard work and love for our girls. I love you sweetie.

OS

Last weekend we went to Ocean Shores. It was our first trip since our Christmas celebration back in January! The sun didn't shine but then again it never does for us and by now we're used to that. =) I take that back the sun did come out...as we were leaving. Nice huh?! This was Emerson's first trip to the beach where it was warm enough and she was old enough to play. She wasn't too sure of the sand at first but quickly adjusted to it. I was thinking or should I say hoping, that she would run from the water like Hannah did/does but no, this girl LOVES the water. She was swatting at anyone who would try and hold her hand. She wanted in the water and that was that! As Emerson was running toward the water, Hannah was running away...and both were squealing! It was a nice but quick trip. We did lots of playing, swimming and ate a few s'mores, some of us more than others (Jakob). Doesn't get much better than that.
Emmie wants down and Hannah can't get far enough away from the water.Daddy caught a crab. He actually caught 2 this weekend...with his bare hands. Swimming with daddy.I like this one...how Tom is trying to hide behind Emerson. Nice honey. =)Grandpa's getting things ready for what they call happy hour...s'mores before dinner.Emerson only wanted the marshmallows...she'd put them in her mouth and then spit the whole thing out.Sooo good. This was a few s'mores after his mommy told him no more. But as Grandpa says "when she's not around..."Yes, she's trying to eat the shell...The girls loved the corn on the cob. I have to say it was pretty darn good, for not being in season yet. On our way in we noticed a new gift shop called Sharkey's. Hannah asked to stop on our way out of town so we did. A cute little shop with a great entrance.
Today we're meeting up with Grandma Judy, Leina and Jakob at the zoo. I've also got Madison and Jake with me so this should be an interesting trip. I had to borrow Aunt Susie's mini-van so we could all go. I'm driving a mini-van...oh dear! I'm thinking a stop at Starbucks before we go is a must!

Moisturizing 101 courtesy of Emerson Walker

So the other morning I turned around to find a quiet Emerson putting lotion on her legs. Doing such a good job of making sure her feet and heels are summer sandal ready...I've really taught her well.

Gotta get the other foot too...

Wait a second...
What did I just put on my legs/feet???That's vanilla frosting! It was so funny to watch her when she realized that it was frosting. Even funnier to watch her try and lick it all off. This girl seriously cracks me up.

Fun!

I don't have much to share...just a few pictures. We are enjoying the weather this week much more than last week. That was just too hot too soon. And, yes I'm well aware of the fact that I'm whining and being a baby about it. Thanks to those who were nice enough to point that out. =) The good thing is that we were able to work on our tans and we did put our little pool to good use. So good that we had to go buy another one at Target last night. I was putting a little more air in the top ring and apparently I blew to hard because the next thing I knew it was deflated. I guess I just don't know my own strength. =) Here are some pictures of our fun in the hot sun last week.
Hannah had the great idea to eat otter pops while in the pool. The girl is a thinker, I tell ya. Too bad neither of them actually ate them in the pool. Apparently it was too cold. GO figure!
Emerson preferred swinging to swimming. Oh, and eating dirt.Hannah's action shot!Putting a little extra water into the pool.
Instead of having a too cold pool after waiting for the landscapers we decided to break out the hopscotch pad. Hannah's neighbor friend Alecia joined in on the fun.

Emerson thought it was REALLY funny to see the water squirt. Especially when it went into the girls' faces.Emerson didn't actually walk down the pad, she stayed off to the side, enjoying the sprays. This is the face of someone who is being sneaky and trying to trick her friend into getting really wet...
Happy Tuesday!
