It’s that time of year again…

Soccer season started last Saturday for us.  It actually started the weekend before but Hannah was at the Ocean with Grandma and Grandpa so she missed the real first game.  She was ok with it at the time, but once we got to the field she said she was sad she missed out the week before.  She really enjoys playing soccer and Tom and I are pretty happy about that!

We’ve decided that Hannah’s team got the worst color…sand.  Who picks sand as a color for little girls?  The rest of the teams have bright colors that fit little girls and we’re stuck with sand. :(  In honor of the color sand, the girls (yes, the girls) picked their team name…the sand snakes. Makes me laugh every time I hear it.  Sand snakes.  She had quite the family crowd there for her first game.  Aunt Kim, Grandma Judy, Nana & Brittney were all there and it made her a happy girl. :)Soccer (1)This was after the first goal. She was so proud of her teammates.  I love the smile on her face!Soccer (3)Sooo close!Soccer (7)She had some hustle in her today!Soccer (8)Soccer (4)After a game well played.Soccer (9)After the game we all went to lunch at Blazing Onion and then over to Udderly Sweet for some frozen yogurt.  Soccer (11)

I have to say it was a great start to what I’m sure will be a fun season and I’m certain you’ll be bombarded with soccer pictures until the end of October. :)  Go Sand Snakes… (hee hee)  :)

Mukilteo

Nana surprised the girls on Wednesday by showing up at our door.  It was a last minute decision to come over and we thought it would be fun to have her surprise them.  Thankfully, she decided on Tuesday night to come over on Wednesday because I am horrible at keeping surprises.  In the few short hours from when the girls woke up until Nana got here I almost slipped up more than a couple times. :)

We didn’t have a car on Thursday because Tom took Nana’s (our Jetta was in the shop, again) so us girls stayed at home and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine.  Friday we decided to get out of the house and we thought Mukilteo would be a perfect spot for our picnic lunch.  It’s such a beautiful location!  Love it there!Mukilteo (28)It’s not too often these two hold hands without me asking.  Aww…Mukilteo (2)Wave jumping….used to be something I loved to do. Mukilteo (4)Mukilteo (5)Nana brought cousin Brittney with her and we’re loving having her here with us.Mukilteo (7)Mukilteo (11)The girls had fun playing with this dog.  They loved throwing sticks, rocks and a sock for him to fetch...makes me almost want to get a dog. Until then, we’ll just enjoy everyone else’s dogs. :)Mukilteo (14)This is when they found the sock…so gross, but it didn’t seem to bother them and the dog loved it!Mukilteo (16)Emmie – sand pantsMukilteo (18)Mukilteo (17)Mom and Dad met us down there.  They were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! 50 years…wow!  We love you!Mukilteo (19)Mukilteo (24)Mukilteo (25)It was a perfect sunny summer day!  We’ve waited all summer for “summer” to finally arrive. :)

Jennings Park

Heather, Katie and I took the kids to Jennings park about a week and a half ago.  It was a cloudy morning that turned into a beautiful day.  The kids all had fun playing and us Mom’s had fun chatting.  :)

Emerson thought she was pretty funny pretending to sleep in the swing.IMG_4682Hannah and Ashlyn…so cute!IMG_4685Emmie & Ethan.  She’s not afraid of him anymore. :)IMG_4686Oh my goodness…this face.  We saw it a lot that day and it was so cute every single time. :)IMG_4688Cole taught Emmie how to climb on top of the train.  Those two are seriously two peas in a pod!IMG_4691IMG_4693Ride ‘em cowgirls!IMG_4694I laughed and joked that Hannah doesn’t quite get the rolling down the hill thing.  They both started out in the same spot and somehow Hannah got herself turned around going feet first.  It’s quite the site to see her roll. :)IMG_4701She got the hang of it after a few tries.IMG_4702IMG_4703It’s quite a chore to get  a 1, 3, & 4 year old to turn and smile at the same time.  But honestly, I like the candid-ness of it. :)IMG_4706

We has such a fun morning.  It’s a shame that we don’t get these munchkins together more often, or the Mama’s for that matter. :)  Thanks ladies for a fabulous morning!

35

On Sunday I had a little birthday…the big 3-5.  When Tom asked me what I wanted for a party I told him, fancy dresses, paper lanterns and lemonade with little umbrellas.  2 out of 3 isn’t too bad. :)

Started out fantastic…coffee and flowers.Party (1)Madi did an excellent job decorating their yard.  Loved it!Party (2)Umbrellas for our drinks.Party (6)A little croquet…I lost every time I played.  It’s not my game. :)Party (9)We made PW’s Grilled Chicken & Pineapple quesadillas for dinner and I was one happy girl.  Just when I thought my day couldn’t get any better, Tom gave me this necklace.  I’m pretty sure I squealed with joy…I’ve been wanting a Lisa Leonard necklace for quite some time now.Party (20)

Can’t wait to see what 35 has in store for me. :)
