February?

Last week JJ and I took the kids to a fun little park before school. It was SO pretty outside that it was hard to stay inside. I mean, really, who wants to do laundry and clean the house when it's gorgeous outside...in FEBRUARY. :) I've been wanting to take the girls to this little park across from the hospital in Everett for quite some time and finally did. The few times we've driven past it, it's been pretty crowded. I figured that at 10 in the morning it wouldn't be too busy and I was right. We were the only ones there for a little while which was nice, but it was fun to watch the kids play with the others as they slowly trickled in. :) The real reason we went...these fun saucer swings...I've been wanting to try them out. They were fun. :)
Emmie and CalebJacob swinging the girls. Such a gentleman. :)Emmie...the fearless slider. She flew down the slide and bounced pretty hard on the ground. She loved it!Caleb was a little apprehensive to slide after watching Emmie hit the ground pretty hard. Once he made it down safely, he was a sliding machine.Jacob's last day of being five. The next day he was going to be a big six year old.

It was a shame that we had to hurry back for school. I could have spent more time there. I'll be taking the girls back to that little park for sure.

Super Bowl

The Pohl's picked an excellent weekend to come over. Hockey AND Football in one weekend! Does it get any better?!? We went over to my sisters house to watch the game with the intent that there was going to be more people than just us. Well it turned out that it was the Pohl's, Henry's and Walker's and enough food to feed the entire Bielser family. It was insane. :) We had fun watching the game and watching Jen & Hunter cheer their Saints on to victory. We really do need to live closer...
Before the game, I got "game face" pictures of the group... Scary

Scariest / Meanest!!!Hannah's game must be cheerleading and Jake...not so sure.Football? Huh?Umm...?Jen and Rachelle sharing a moment. I think Jen was teaching Rachelle how to give hugs. :)These two...I got a good laugh out of my sister...this is how she watches the Super Bowl.

It was a good game and I'm pretty sure that we all ate entirely TOO much, but isn't that what the Super Bowl is all about?? :)

Hockey!

Friday night the Pohl's came over for the weekend. It was a busy weekend but it was a fun one. Saturday we all went to a hockey game...the Everett Silvertips vs the Spokane Chiefs. To say that the Pohl's are Chiefs fans would be an understatement. I just couldn't find it in me to root for the Chiefs. I'm an Everett girl through and through. So there I sat, the lone Silvertips fan in the group. :)
Grace brought along her friend Rachelle for the weekend. Rachelle could easily be Jen's third child...she fits right in. We had fun with her too, especially Hannah. Hannah loves Rachelle! :)
Hannah had to have her hair straightened and her face painted just like the big girls.Hunter got in on the face paint too. I laugh EVERY. SINGLE. TIME I look at a picture of him from this night. :) We love you Ronald, I mean Hunter! "You're interrupting me for what?!?...Can't you see I'm busy?!"Jen was a fearless Chiefs cheerleader. Most of the time... :)Grace cheered loudly when they scored their one and only goal. :)

Hannah had fun getting her groove on. I love the little girl sitting down the row. She kept staring at Hannah like she was a one woman freak show. :) Look at that hair. WILD.

The Silvertips did an excellent job at beating the Chiefs. The Silvertip fans, however, didn't do so well in the "respect the visiting fans" category. It was a little disappointing the things that were said to them but the Pohl's didn't let it bother them too much. They're cool that way.

Despite the one fight, it was a good game...if you're a Silvertips fan that is. :)

I'm a sucker for pretty skies

The picture below was my picture of the day on Monday. It was seriously one of the most beautiful skies I've seen in a while.
I had to laugh when I looked outside about 5 minutes later. Where did my pretty sky go?

A chilly day at the park

Last week JJ and I took the kids to Willis Tucker Park before school. The weather all week had been beautiful and sunny but the day we decided to go, it decided to be cloudy and really chilly. Of course, the kids didn't mind one bit, it was just me who was cold. :)
Emerson LOVES to swing. She spent pretty much the entire time in "her swing" as she called it.
Hannah and Jacob had fun climbing. This was about as far as Hannah went, she's a bit like her mother when it comes to heights. Jacob on the other hand went all the way to the top.
It's a really good thing I have girls. I joked with JJ that watching her boys climb and play made my hands sweat!
I told the girls that we'll have to go back to this park in the summertime. They've got a great spray pad, that looks like a lot of summertime fun! :)
